Oswald Achenbach was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 1827. As a german landscape painter, he got influenced by his older brother, Andreas Achenbach. His works portray a luminescent blur and the effects of glowing light and a rich palette of color. His oil paintings include natural scenes from Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. He represented many galleries of modern art in Germany and the United States.
