Edwin Austin Abbey was an American painter and illustrator. He was born in 1852 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a presenter of the golden age of illustrations, his art highlights and features some of the theatrical plays and historical events. His work of art and paintings included those from Buckingham Palace, Boston Public Library, and the State Capitol of Pennsylvania. In 1911, because of his sickness with cancer, he left working and creating the paintings.
