George Wright was born close to Leeds, West Yorkshire, in 1869 and passed on in 1942. He was an English painter of equestrian subjects. His siblings Gilbert Scott Wright and Louise Wright, were likewise craftsmen. Having contemplated and shown at the Royal Academy, his work could be delegated scholastic. Wright is known for pony and hunting pictures; the phenomenal extents and illustrative feel gave his pieces a functioning quality. He is supposed to be outstanding amongst other sporting painters of his time.
