Lajos Tihanyi was born on October 29 1885. He was a Hungarian painter and illustrator who accomplished international fame working in Paris, France. In the wake of emigrating in 1919, he stayed away forever to Hungary, even on a visit. He was a Hungarian Impressionist and Modern painter. His work was highlighted in a few displays at critical exhibitions and galleries, including the Lower Belvedere and the Galleria Comunale d’Arte Moderna Roma.
