Antonio Canaletto was born in Venice, Italy, and was the most celebrated view-painter of the eighteenth century. He started his vocation as a dramatic scene painter, yet he went to geology to visit Rome in 1719-20. By 1723 he painted beautiful perspectives on Venice, set apart by solid differentiation of light and shade and free taking care of. For a period, he lived in England, and he was effective, painting perspectives on London and of different ranch style homes; however, in 1755, he got back to Venice and proceeded with dynamic for the rest of his life.
