Giovanni Battista Gaulli, otherwise called Baciccio, was an Italian High Baroque painter. He was born in Genoa in 1639 and kicked the bucket in 1709. The majority of his bonuses were based out of Rome and included elaborate altarpieces and frescoes. Conceivably his most recalled work would be “The Triumph of the Name of Jesus,” painted on the nave ceiling in the Gesu. His work has made way for the following craftsmanship period: the Rococo development.
