William Merritt Chase was an impressionist artist and a professor. He was born in Williamsburg, Indiana, and turned into an understudy of B. F. Feeds in Indianapolis, Joseph Oriel Eaton in New York, and consequently of A. Wagner and Karl von Piloty in Munich.
