Vonnoh, Robert, America 1858 to 1933 Oil Paintings

Robert William Vonnoh was born in America in 1858 and kicked the bucket in 1933. He was an impressionist painter whose topic comprised mainly of scenes and figures. He regularly went to and fro from France to America’s east drift. He examined painting at the famous Academie Julian in Paris. In 1884, he instructed as a teacher at the Cowles Art School in Boston after his training. Later on, he educated at the Boston School of the Museum of Fine Arts and in 1891 at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Vonnoh’s most acclaimed work is named “Coquelicots” or “Where Soldiers Sleep, and Poppies Grow” and is presently shown in the endless assortment at The Butler Institute of American Art.
